Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says “I’ll try again tomorrow.” – Mary Anne Radmacher
As I was preparing to share this podcast, the above quote immediately came to mind. I recorded the following podcast with my sister, Khalilah Elliott, back in November 2015.
Khalilah is an arts administrator who’s living the role of a lifetime as the marketing director at the world famous Apollo Theater in New York. She will be delivering one of the keynote talks at the 2016 You Are Stronger Than You Think Women’s Event.
One of the lessons I gleaned from my conversation with Khalilah is that courage is not always a public display of a magnificent accomplishment. Often times courage is simply refusing to quit. I believe my sister’s story is going to inspire courage in you.
This episode is not a “how to” show. It’s a candid conversation about Khalilah’s weight loss journey, the challenges of dealing with depression and ultimately the role of contentment for living a more peace-filled life.
