All month long I’ve been focused on the ways in which food impacts reaching my health and fitness goals for 2016. After many years of trying and falling short of my weight loss goals I know firsthand how frustrating this can be for anyone. I’m taking a new approach to change this year…the patient approach. This year, I’m going to follow a proven nutrition and fitness plan that’s worked in the past for me and many other people.
Being accountable to others works for me, so I launched the #make1change challenge on the blog this month. The purpose of this challenge is to help us focus on making one change in a specific area of our lives for 21 days. The areas I’ve chosen for the blog are nutrition and money. We are focusing on nutrition in March and money in April.
Today is Day 17 of the #make1change challenge. It’s also the 4th Thursday of March. Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month there will be a new podcast or audio blog up on the website by 2p MST each day. I’m testing the waters with podcasting…again. I hosted a podcast for work at home mom entrepreneurs for 2.5 years. You can listen to old archives here: The Savvy WAHM.
Podcasting is a big commitment. For the first 6 months of the year the Stronger Than You Think podcast will be posted here on the website, only. If I decide to move back down that road to launching it onto itunes, Stitcher radio and the other podcasting platforms, you’ll be the first to know. I’m finding my voice and my niche again after having spent nearly 3 years working for a manufacturing company. I’m back out on my own and working to build a viable business. Before I start anything new, I want to be sure I have the capacity for it.
For today’s podcast I interviewed Dr. Amanda Roberson. Dr. Amanda is a naturopathic doctor and the author of Dear God, Bless This Mess. In today’s episode she offers practical steps for how to begin making small changes that add up to a big difference over time. She also provides several tips, tricks and strategies for overcoming common obstacles to eating healthier. If you’ve ever felt like you were either too busy or don’t have enough money to healthier, this podcast is for you!
